Resumen
El objetivo fue determinar las necesidades de formación de cuarto nivel en gerencia de servicios de alimentación y nutrición. Se realizó una investigación de tipo aplicada evaluativa, diseñándose un cuestionario “ad hoc” contentivo de las competencias necesarias, así como la consideración de la importancia de formalizar estudios de cuarto nivel en el área, y el interés por realizarlos. Dicho instrumento se aplicó a 61 nutricionistas que laboran en el Instituto Autónomo de Alimentación y Nutrición del Estado Mérida, Instituto Autónomo Hospital Universitario de Los Andes, Ministerio de Educación y Deporte, Corposalud y Universidad de Los Andes, los cuales ejercen la gerencia o tienen a su cargo servicios de alimentación. Los resultados demostraron que el 67% de los profesionales no han realizado estudios de cuarto nivel, la opinión sobre la necesidad de adquirir las competencias en gerencia de servicios de alimentación y nutrición versaron en: muy necesarias, bastante necesarias y necesarias, la totalidad refirieron que es muy importante la realización de estudios de cuarto nivel en el área, el 75% de los profesionales están dispuestos a participar en dichos estudios. En conclusión el mayor porcentaje de los profesionales no presentan formación de cuarto nivel en Gerencia de Servicios de Alimentación, manifestando la necesidad de adquirir las competencias específicas en la misma. Los resultados podrán tomarse en consideración para la justificación del diseño curricular por competencias de la Especialización en Gerencia de Servicios de Alimentación y Nutrición a nivel de la Escuela de Nutrición y Dietética de la Universidad de Los Andes. Forming of the fourth level of feeding and nutrition services management in Merida State

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the needs of forming the fourth level of Feeding And Nutrition Services Management. An evaluative applied investigation was made, designing a questionnaire “ad hoc” containing the necessary competitions, as well as the consideration of the importance of formalizing studies of fourth level in the area, and the interest to make them. This instrument was applied to 61 nutricionists who work at the Mérida State Autonomous Institute for Food an Nutrition, the Autonomous Onstitute University Hospital of Los Andes, the Ministery of Education and Sports, Corposalud, and the University of Loan Andes, these institutes have a managemental roll or have feeding services under their control. The results demonstrated that 67% of the professionals have not taken studies of fourth level, the opinion on the need to acquire the competitions in management of services of feeding and nutrition turned in; very necessary, enough necessary and necessary. The total referred that the accomplishment of studies of fourth level in the area is very important, 75% of the professionals have the will to participate in these studies. In conclusion the greater percentage of the professionals does not have forming of The Fourth level in Management of Feeding Services, declaring the need to acquire the specific competitions in the area. The results would be taken into account to justify the curricular design of the competitions for the Specialization, in Management of Feeding and Nutrition Services in the same level of The School of Nutrition and Dietetic the and the University of The Andes.
